Children and Youth Gardening

Come grow with us!

Since 1947, children and families from our local communities have come to RBG to plant, cultivate, harvest, and learn about horticulture. Participants will get their hands dirty as they learn to grow food, prepare healthy, easy snacks, explore, play, and hone their gardening skills. These hands-on programs are planned to take advantage of seasonal changes and local expertise to create age-appropriate experiences with a goal to inspire a lifelong love of gardening RBG has a variety of large, open allotments and garden beds located in Hendrie Park which serves as the backdrop for children and families to have fun and connect with the world around them.
